The Five District Partnership (5DP)

Educator Diversity and the Teacher Pipeline 

The 5DP comprises five public school districts in eastern Massachusetts that serve diverse student populations and are committed to diversifying their educator workforces. Using a rich data set from the state, WEPC examined the changing representation of educators of color over time, as well as historical patterns in the flow of educators from different backgrounds into and out of each district. Through the results of these analyses, WEPC is highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for continued progress in the 5DP districts’ local policy efforts to improve educator diversity.
