Ariel Tichnor-Wagner is a lecturer at the Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. With a deep commitment to identifying and supporting implementation of effective policies and practices that improve the academic and social-emotional outcomes of culturally and linguistically diverse students, Ariel focuses her research on policy and program implementation, school improvement, civics education, and global citizenship education. Her research has appeared in a variety of academic and media outlets, including Educational Administration Quarterly, Teachers College Record, Educational Policy, Leadership and Policy in Schools, the Journal of Educational Change, and Education Policy Analysis Archives, and Education Week. She holds a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Policy, Leadership, and School Improvement from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
